Kate’s book speaking, book signing, activist, and teaching events.
Come visit with Author and Inspirational Speaker Kate Troll as she offers insight and tough lessons from the perspective of an Alaskan who has worked in the trenches of conservation politics. Kate draws on her adventures to translate her experience in Alaskan rural conservation to seeking sustainable fisheries in South America. Sit with her as she testifies before the U.S. Senate to establish protection for salmon streams in the Tongass National Forest. Join her search for inspiration in wilderness adventure, and her ah-hah moments as she applies this inspiration to environmental challenges over 40 years of love and life in Alaska.
In The Great Unconformity: Reflections on Hope in an Imperiled World, Kate describes her commitment to passing on her passion to others: “I write this book to fulfill my responsibility for sharing my good fortune… my good fortune to live in Alaska while encountering wisdom about sustainability and climate change. I understand that the most important form of power is to empower others and hope this book empowers you.”
